Emma Johnson has appeared as a soloist with many of the world’s leading orchestras. In 1984 she won the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition and in 1996 was awarded an MBE for services to music. She has become one of the UK’s biggest selling classical artists, having sold over half a million discs worldwide.
Vaughan Williams’s Symphony No.2 represents the Westminster chimes, Hampstead Heath on an August Bank Holiday, Bloomsbury Square on a November afternoon and Westminster Embankment.
