Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto is one of the best known violin concertos, and is considered one of the most technically difficult works for the violin.

Prokofiev wrote his Symphony No.5 in one month in the summer of 1944, in the midst of World War II. He intended it as “a hymn to free and happy Man, to his mighty powers, his pure and noble spirit”.
