Children’s Concerts Day

Sun 18th November 2018, 11:30am - 5:00pm

11.30am – ALL PLAYERS to arrive for set up.  There’s loads to do with moving the church sideways, putting the staging up, moving chairs into the church from the hall, sorting out lighting etc.

12 noon – 1.30pm – rehearsal. Ideally we will start rehearsing at 12 noon if the set-up is done quickly, leaving time for a short (packed) lunch break

2.00pm  – First concert

3.30pm – Second concert

The second concert ends around 4.30pm – we will need all the orchestra to put the church back in order.  We need to have the church sorted very quickly after the second concert because of evening church service.
Fancy Dress –  Something pirate related would be great. Or, if not possible, all black. For men, no jackets.  Having the majority of players in fancy dress does add to the fun atmosphere for the children.
Refreshments – it’s bring your own.  We’ll potentially have some time at 1.30pm to eat/drink and get ready.  There is no section on tea duty as we haven’t got time for a formal tea break, so please wash up any cups you use, and bring your own biscuits.
After concert Staging and Timps
Helpers will be needed after the second concert to unload the van back at Homewood Road with David Utting.
Front of House
We need non-playing volunteers to be on the ticket desk and act as crowd control for both concerts. Please could you ask family/friends to be involved. We will need 2 volunteers for each concert please.
